Pre Catalan

Pre Catalan is a lovely restaurant in Paris for a special occasion.  My husband took me there for my birthday a few years back.  The restaurant is in a beautiful park-like location.  The grounds are gorgeous and the interior is quite stunning.  The food, under the direction of Chef Frederic Anton, is exceptional. 

I went there a couple of years later when I was in a class with Patricia Wells.  It was, again, a great experience.  I highly recommend their roasted duck, their langoustine ravioli and their veal with morels.  They have a fantastic cheese cart with many choices.  (Unfortunately, our waiter was not too forthcoming with describing the cheeses, but we eventually got there.)   Their desserts were beautiful and just as delicious.
